Tell Croydon Council how you access and use pharmacy services in Croydon
The council are asking residents and people in Croydon to share their views about community pharmacies to make sure they are providing the right services to support the health and wellbeing of the local population.
Community pharmacies provide healthcare support and advice and are often the first point of contact when people are concerned about their health. Pharmacy services include dispensing medicines, administering vaccinations, help and advice when someone is not feeling well or has a health query, safely disposing of unused medicines, and more.
Why are we seeking views on pharmaceutical services?
Local Authority Health and Wellbeing Boards have a statutory duty to publish a Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment every three years, under the NHS (Pharmaceutical Services and Local Pharmaceutical Services) Regulations 2013.
The Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment is a report of the current needs for pharmaceutical services. It is used to identify any gaps in current services or improvements that could be made in future pharmaceutical service provision.
The council want to make sure that you can access pharmaceutical services easily and that you are happy with the service you receive. Anyone who uses local pharmaceutical services is invited to comment.
Who will use the Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment?
The PNA will be used by NHS England, Croydon Council, and the South West London Integrated Care Board to assess current and future pharmacy services and to make decisions for new pharmacies.
How can my views on Pharmaceutical Services views be heard?
The information you provide in the questionnaire is confidential. A summary of all responses and comments will be published in the final PNA report.
We would be grateful if you would answer some questions about your own experience and views.
