Speaking up for better care: Healthwatch Croydon Annual Report 2025-26
About us
Healthwatch Croydon is the independent champion for people using health and social care services in the borough. We listen to local people's experiences, identify what is working well and where improvements are needed, and share this evidence with organisations responsible for planning and delivering services. We also provide free information and signposting to help residents access the support they need.
Key achievements
- More than 1,100 people were supported through our engagement, feedback and information services.
- 916 residents shared their experiences with us, helping shape improvements to local health and care services.
- We completed seven research and engagement projects, covering topics including community pharmacy, adult social care, intermediate care and reablement, diabetes care, Community Diagnostic Centres, NHS Online and access to services.
- Residents' feedback helped inform Croydon's Adult Social Care Strategy and the development of integrated neighbourhood working.
- We worked alongside partners across South West London to ensure local voices influenced wider NHS planning and service improvement.
- We continued to champion the experiences of communities whose voices are often underrepresented, helping promote more inclusive and accessible health and care services.
Our work is only possible because local people continue to share their experiences with us. Every conversation, survey response and piece of feedback helps us influence change and work towards better health and care for everyone in Croydon.
