Healthwatch Croydon welcomes new Chief Executive
Healthwatch Croydon, the local champion for better health and social care, is pleased to announce that Jai Jayaraman succeeds Charlie Ladyman as Interim Chief Executive from 18 November
Jai has a nineteen-year career in both third sector organisations and private sector companies. He spent seven years as Chief Executive Officer of Lambeth Mediation, where he ensured the charity’s sustainability in delivering community cohesion services. Jai has also worked for Oxfam and Amnesty International.
John Davey, Chair of Healthwatch Croydon said: “His previous experience as a CEO puts him a strong place to lead Healthwatch Croydon forward. Building on what has been achieved by Charlie and the team so far, we look forward to him leading us forward. We need to ensure residents’ views on health and social care continue to effectively influence delivery of services for the better.”
Jai said: “I am delighted to be joining Healthwatch Croydon at what is an interesting and challenging time for the organisation. I look forward to carrying on the excellent work of my predecessor in engaging with the local community to help improve the delivery of healthcare services.”
Jai joins the organisation from 7 November and will be working closely with Charlie Ladyman before until she leaves Healthwatch Croydon on 17 November. This will ensure a smooth changeover before Jai takes over fully on 18 November.
This is an Interim Chief Executive role which will run until 31 March 2017, which is the end of the current commissioning period. A permanent role will be created once recommissioning is confirmed.
