Ministry of Empowerment | Afternoon Tea
August 6, 2018 @ 12:30 pm BST
Join us for our afternoon tea on Monday 6th August 2018 at the CVA Resource Centre Croydon.
In partnership with the Croydon Health Service and Healthwatch Croydon.
If you are a Carer, recovering from a mental health issue, affected by Cancer and or and Senior Citizen, we would love to hear your opinions.
Ministry of Empowerment – Woman2woman project is a registered charity led by local women of our community that supports, encourages and empower women regardless of background and their families by providing social and educational activities/events. We are proposing to organize a ‘Hi-lighting Focus Group with Afternoon Tea’ with the option of guests showcasing their best hat, giving the opportunity for BAMER communities in Croydon to express their views and share their experiences of local NHS services with local NHS representatives. These women are not only carers but recovering from mental health conditions, coping with long term illness, affected by cancer and senior citizens of our community. The days’ event will start with attendees sitting around tables and engaging in creating Tea Light Glass Lamps giving NHS representatives and opportunity to speak with individuals of their experiences of Mental Health, Out of hospital or Urgent and emergency care services.
After a short break, guests along with NHS representatives will engage in a Focus Group setting where everyone will be given the opportunity to extend their views on our said NHS services.
Guests will have a short parade to showcasing their best hat wear.
This is a great opportunity to meet new people that understand your personal health concerns, and of course make new friends.
We look forward to seeing you there!
